Records can be requested from the York County Archives by visiting the facility, by email, or through the US mail. The York County Archives does not accept phone requests. Please click on our link to Records Available. If applicable, please search our on-line indexes for references. If the record series is not indexed on-line, the Archives will search the series when provided with specific names and, if possible, dates and townships. If you do not receive a response from us after a week, please contact us again. The York County Archives observes all government holidays.
The York County Archives works on the honor system for bills up to and including $10.00. We will inform you of the total bill; please do not send any payment without knowing the cost for your request. The archives is now able to accept payment for mail and email requests by credit card. Please note: Official Payment Corp does not except VISA credit cards, only Discover, Master Card and VISA debit cards. If you have any questions on paying by credit card you will need to contact the Official Payment Corp customer service center. We also accept checks, cash or money orders. Please make checks payable to York County.
