Administration Bond Books Administration Bond Books AA through 5H (1794 to 1968). Description: A written promise by an administrator or executor to pay money in the event that the administration of the estate is not properly handled. Content: Names of deceased, administrator or executor and other parties involved in the administrating of the estate, amount owed to Register of Wills, conditions of bond, date and signatures. May contain a memorandum consisting of letters of administration and inventory filing dates, an affidavit of death, which states date, time and place of death, renunciation of heirs and amount for fees, taxes, books and forms. Some bonds may have attachments of power of attorney and surety. Note: Bonds from 1749-1793 can be found in the estate files. Bonds after 1968 are found in the Register of Wills.
