Description: Papers created during proceedings heard in the court of Quarter Session. In 1969 the name of this court was changed to Court of Common Pleas, Criminal Division. Content: Consists of papers filed in criminal matters which may including the following: affidavits, agreements, answers, appeals, bail bonds, bills of costs, certifications, citations, colloquies, commitments, complaints, docket transcripts, fingerprint request cards, indictments, information, motions, opinions, orders, petitions, pleas, praecipes, requests, returns of service, rules, stipulations, transcribed testimony, verdicts, waivers, and warrants. Quarter Sessions/Clerk of Courts Indexes, 1830-1989 Content: Indexes from 1830-1979 include defendant's name, court session, year, book and page number. Indexes from 1980-1989 include defendant's name and case number.
